Naya Kanga Peak


    Naya Kanga Peak, also known as Ganja La Chuli, is a popular trekking peak in the Langtang region. Naya Kanga is an attractive peak rising from the west of the Ganja La (5,122m). The ascending route to Ganja La or the summit of Naya Kanga offers spectacular panoramic views of mountains in Nepal and Tibet including Langshisa Ri (6,370m), Pemthang Ri (6,836m), Shisapangma (8,046m), Langtang Lirung (7,425m), Pemthang Kapro Ri (6,830m) and Langtang II (6,571m). The common route of ascent to Naya Kanga is via the northeast ridge over a line on ice and snow, following the route of Langtang trek to Kyangjin (3,749m). The height of the peak of less than 6000m poses less altitude difficulties than other higher peaks. On the other hand, many small peaks in this region are suitable for non-experienced trekkers to have a taste of climbing in Nepal.

    Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer you to Hotel
    This is the day for your arrival at Kathmandu. Our staffs will be at the airport to welcome you. You will then be transferred to the hotel of your choice and stay overnight. You will have the chance to discuss with our staffs in details on your trip and itinerary.
    Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu
    We will start the sightseeing tour at 9am after breakfast. You will be provided with a private vehicle and a professional tour guide. You will be visiting Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhhatnath Temple, Monkey Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. A final briefing and preparation of the trek will be given in the afternoon. Overnight you will stay at the hotel of your choice.Day
    03: Kathmandu  Syabru bensi by Bus
    This day after having breakfast we will drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi which takes about eight hours by bus. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Bensi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trisuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road is still under construction. Overnight you will stay at Guest House in Syabru bensi.
    Day 04: Trek to Bamboo
    After the night spent in Syabru bensi this day after having breakfast we will leads towards bamboo. The first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. This trail is gradually ascent up to Bamboo passing through landslide. Overnight we will stay at bamboo.
    Day 05: Trek to Ghora Tabela
    This day after having breakfast, we will continue our trek to Ghora Tabela. As we continue climbing there are occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees. At Ghora Tabela [3000m], the trail emerges from the forest. While walking here, you can catch a glimpse of white monkeys and local birds. Once there was a Tibetan resettlement project here, but now it is a Nepalese army post though it has no permanent inhabitants. Overnight we will stay at Ghora Tabela.
    Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa
    After having breakfast, this day we will move towards Kyanjin Gompa. Crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyanjin. Here there is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. We should arrive at Kyanjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting, with snow covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. At this point, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and so on. Overnight, we will be enjoying at Guesthouse.
    Day 07: Rest day for local exploration to climb
    Today is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin RI (4350meters) which is highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Overnight at guesthouse.
    Day 08: Trek to Naya Kanga Base Camp
    Today, after good acclimatization and fitness we ready to climb Naya Kanga base camp. After a breakfast at Kyanjin we pack up our all gears and start to walk through crossing the river and climb up to hill. Base camp just southern part from Kyanjin and its about 5-6 hrs where well find small plateau for the camp where well stay overnight at camp.
    Day 09: Trek to High Camp
    After the night spent in base camp, this day we will climb steeply to high camp. You trek along the rocky and icy glacier. This day also you can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko ri, Ganchenpo peak, Kibgyu Ri, Yansi Tsenji peak and few others. Overnight at high camp.
    Day 10: Rest day for the preparation of climb
    This is an acclimatization day so that you can make preparation for the climb to Naya Kanga summit. Overnight at Naya kanga Camp
    Day 11: Climb Naya Kanga and return to Base Camp
    This is our goal day as we are going to climb the Naya kanga peak. As instruction given by your guide yesterday if the weather is perfect then early about 4 am we wake up and have a breakfast then ready to leave for achieve your dream on the top of summit. Guide will fix the ropes need to belay ropes to help on your guide. After a good teamwork we get to the top of Naya Kanga where from can be enjoy the best panoramic Himalayan view including Tibet part and after a great shoot back to base camp for overnight.
    Day 12: Trek to Langtang Village
    After fulfilling our dreams that is climbing the summit of Naya kanga, this day we will retrace back to Langtang village. Trek from Nyengang Kharka to Kyanjin Gompa takes about four hours. You trek downhill until you cross a suspension bridge over Langtang Khola. Now, you ascend for about twenty minutes to reach Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight we will rest at Langtang village.
    Day 13: Trek to Riverside
    After the night spent in Langtang village, this day after having breakfast we will continue our trek. We will move along the riverside. We can give our body some bath. We can enjoy the pure water and makes our body free in the nature. This day we will camp at riverside so that we can be mentally fine in the lap of nature.
    Day 14: Trek to Mathlo Syabru
    This day we will continue our trek from river side to Mathlo Syabru via dense forest of bamboo, oak and rhododendrons. We then emerge with a view of Syabru and its extensive area of millet terraces. A rising and falling path brings you to this fascinating village where each house is set above its neighbor, in a long line up the very crest of the ridge. It's a great place to roam about, catching glimpses of Tamang life, admiring the beautifully carved wooden windows or simply relaxing in the sun. overnight we will enjoy at Mathlo Syabru.S
    Day 15: Trek to Dhunche
    This day we will trek towards Dhunche after having breakfast.  From Mathlo Syabru it is a steep climb through forests of oak, fir and rhododendron to the top of a ridge. From here it is only a short descent to Barbal, then 1.30 hrs walk from Barbal we catch the roadway to Dhunche, which takes another 2 hrs. There is a Buddhist monastery, local shops and governmental offices in Dhunche. We will stop here for the overnight.
    Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu
    This day we will drive back to Kathmandu through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas. The first part of your drive up to Trisuli Bazaar is through gravel and bumpy road and then we will travel through well paved road up to Kathmandu where we will stay overnight.
    Day 17: Rest day in Kathmandu
    This day we reserve for flight delay or cancelled to minimize the risk of missing intl. flight. If we return to Kathmandu on yesterday day this pleasant day you may have full day at leisure at your own or can be extends your extra trip with us on additional cost or time to explore the Thamel.
    Day 18: Shopping around Kathmandu
    This day you can visit the shopping centers for the shopping. You can have various sorts of things that you can be pleased with, you can buy thankas, handicrafts, handmade utensils like masks, paints and others various thing that makes you remember our country. You can visit malls for your other requirements. Overnight, be at your own hotel.
    Day 19: Departure to your next destination
    You may wish to do the last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives before your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you will be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
