With the most advanced infrastructure among urban areas in NepalEven the cultural heritage recognition under the World Heritage list of the UNESCO as recognized all the monuments in the three urban (Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur) agglomerates as one unit under the title “Kathmandu Valley – UNESCO World Heritage site”
    Then Lumbini, the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautam Buddha (born in 623 BC), was marked by Ashok pillar which was built in 250 BC. It is pilgrimage site for Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike. The main attraction of the city is the Sacred Garden, spread over 08 Sq. Kms and possesses all the treasures of the historic area .There is a bo tree where Siddhartha Gautama gained enlightenment and became Buddha.. Beside the Ashok Pillar there is a temple of Maya Devi, mother of Gautam Buddha, and the sacred pool, known as Puskarni, where Maya Devi gave purification bath to Gautam Buddha. Places to visit include restored garden and surrounding areas with many ancient monuments and monasteries. Another important archeological site in Lumbini is Kapilvastu, located about 27 km west of Lumbini. Siddhartha Gautam Buddha spent his early childhood in Kapilvastu.

    Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
    Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu; we will then welcome you by our airport representative, who will be waiting outside the airport terminal a few meters from the exit door. Look out for the Nepali Travel signboard. The drive from the airport to the hotel is around 20 minutes. While transferring to the Hotel our airport representative will briefly tells about program and other necessary information along the way. The evening is free, but usually our tour guide will organize an evening meal (optional) at one of Kathmandu’s fine Nepali restaurants. Alternatively you can enjoy a dinner at the hotel.
     
    Day 2: whole day Sightseeing in Kathmandu
    After breakfast, start the trip to visit Kathmandu Valley with its various important religious centres; Pashupatinath (Hindu Temple), nearby along the banks of the Bagmati River. Here we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats, nearby Boudhanath is possibly the largest stupa in the world; Where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupaand this is also kind of prayer centre for Tibetan school of Buddhism, Then our trip moves toward Patan Durbar Square - full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines noted for their exquisite carving ,the complex of places, courtyards and temples between the 12th and 18the centuries.and finally Swoyambhunath, one of the most glorious Buddhist Chaityas probably the oldest temple of Nepal, famous for its nickname as Monkey Temple. The rest of our time in Kathmandu is free for further sightseeing and exploration. In the late afternoon your tour guide will confirm departure information for the next morning.
      
    Day 3: Kathmandu – Lumbini
    After breakfast we take a scenic drive tothe Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Normally over land drive takes 7-8 hours journey & by flight takes 35m airlifting to Bhairahawa & 30m drive to Lumbini.
    Lumbini has been included as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Upon arrival Lumbini, we transfer you to the hotel, check-in and then we go walking through the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born converges on the Ashoka pillar. Then visit the Maya Devi Temple with its bas-relief sculpture depicting Maya Devi holding on with her right hand to a branch of pipal tree and giving birth to the infant Buddha who stands up on a lotus pedestal. The rest of evening is free for further exploration around and overnight at hotel.

    Day 4: Lumbini
    We begin with an early morningdriving away, 27km west of Lumbini; visit the important archaeological site, Tilaurkot, the ancient palace of King Suddodhan (Siddhartha Gautam's father), where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince. There's a museum nearby, The Kapilvastu Museum; the pottery, jewelry and ornaments are gathered in-house. End up the remarkable tour in Tilaurkot by visiting the shrines, monasteries and stupa near the sacred garden. We also visit various monasteries and there is also free time to stroll around the town and mingle with the locals and overnight back to hotel.

    Day 5: Lumbini - Kathmandu
    After breakfast we take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu by road/flight. Normally over land drive takes 7-8 hours journey & by flight takes 30m drive to Bhairahawa where is nearby airport and then 35m airlifting back to Kathmandu. Check-in at hotel, rest of the day is at your own leisure and shopping time. The evening is free, but usually our tour guide will again organize an evening meal (optional) at one of Kathmandu’s fine Nepali restaurants. Alternatively you can enjoy a dinner at the hotel.

    Day 6: Depart Kathmandu
    After breakfast, rest of day is at leisure until we pick you up at the hotel and thenyou are transferred to the airport for your flight out as your flight schedule, bringing to an end to this exciting journey exploring the highlights of the Himalaya country Nepal.
